Prerequisites

Complete Mysterious Man, True Wisdom in Kindness, Actions Speak Louder than Words, Heart Beyond Borders

Walkthrough

1. 1Open your inventory and find the Engraved Key item
2. 2Select the key and use Inspect (Space/Square/X) to examine it closely — focus on the tip
3. 3Travel to Hernand Castle in the city center
4. 4Equip the Hernandian Attire (purple coat) from your inventory before approaching guards
5. 5Speak to the castle guards — they will open the gates for you
6. 6Enter the main castle building and immediately turn right
7. 7Climb the stairs to the second floor
8. 8Turn right down the next hallway
9. 9Unlock the first door on your left (the Alchemist's Chamber)
10. 10Collect the Faded Abyss Artifact from the glowing chest in the center
11. 11Approach the shining Abyss Gate portal between the bookshelves
12. 12Interact with the gate to enter the Abyss and proceed to Polar Opposites

Tips

• The Hernandian Attire from Actions Speak Louder than Words is mandatory — guards won't let you pass without it
• Examine the Engraved Key in your inventory to trigger the story moment before going to the castle
• The Faded Abyss Artifact in the chest is your only reward from this quest — pick it up before the gate
• The Alchemist's Chamber location is easy to miss — if you can't find the door, reset your view to first-person
• After entering the Abyss Gate, the Mystical Key quest ends and Polar Opposites begins immediately
