Walkthrough
- 1Move forward through the Abyss corridor, learning basic movements: running, jumping, wall-climbing,
- 2Then crouching.
- 3Use Blinding Flash on the light device above a locked door—hold L1+R1, aim at the light, press L1
- 4To concentrate.
- 5Equip your Lantern from the radial menu and navigate through the dark tunnel.
- 6Follow Sebastian towards his house in Hernand after exiting the Abyss.
- 7Defeat the hostile soldiers attacking Sebastian.
- 8Mount the nearby horse and follow Sebastian into Pywel, unlocking Chapter 1.
Tips
- Sprint-jump technique: hold Sprint, then press Jump—don't hold both buttons simultaneously or you won't jump.
- Use Lantern to light dark areas and solve visual puzzles—equip it from the radial menu.
- Blinding Flash requires precise aiming at light devices to open sealed doors.
- The platforming section teaches core mobility mechanics needed throughout the game.
- Soldiers near Pywel entrance are scripted and not difficult—focus on following Sebastian after defeating them.
- Expect a smooth difficulty curve: this is an introductory tutorial quest after the Ambush boss fight.
