Goyen is a fearsome warrior encountered during the Unwavering Steps quest in the Abyss. He wields a sword and shield, fighting much like Kliff himself, and can kill in one or two hits with his most powerful attacks. His devastating Meteor Kick leap attack creates a deadly shockwave that can end the fight instantly if not dodged.

How to Find
Encountered at the end of the Unwavering Steps quest in the Abyss. Activate the fast travel point on the floor directly before the boss arena.
Strategy
- 1Goyen fights like Kliff with sword and shield — treat this as a mirror match and stay patient
- 2His Meteor Kick leap attack is the most dangerous move; watch the ground for the impact radius indicator and dodge sideways repeatedly
- 3After the first leap, he always follows up with a midair kick — keep dodging sideways
- 4Use Focus (slow time) to help parry his melee swings and dodge the Meteor Kick
- 5Bring 200 grilled meat for this late-game fight; activate the fast travel point before the arena in case you need to retreat and re-gear
